    Excess salt in chicken a la king
    Hi! I made chicken a la king tonight and mixed it with past. I added excess salt by mistake and now I do not know how to get rid of the excess salt? Please help as I will be having guests over and do not wish to restart! thank you!

    Bye, there is nothing you can do to correct this in the chicken dish. You will have to start over again, sorry. If it was a stew, or soup, then there could be a correction to remove the salt taste with potatoes, but would not work with the sauce dish. It doesn't mean though that you have to start all over again with the chicken pieces, you could take the chicken out, wash it off and do another sauce mixture without the salt. Did you use cream of mushroom soup for part of the sauce? That is a salt soup anyway and I never add salt to it when I use it as part of a sauce mixture.
