Quite frankly I loved her very much as a very good friend. She was honest, sincere, spoke her mind, we clicked quickly. I admired her very much.

She was American, moved to Germany with her husband in the service and stayed. She missed the US a lot. She had a rough time after the divorce (a tough one) but she was a survivor and a very intelligent person.

I spoke with her on the phone several times and I learned a lot from this very special person. She was the kind of person that no one can replace, to me anyway.

Again, Chery, I miss you a lot my very dear friend.

What bothers me is that her daughter belongs to Facebook and she probably also received this message.... :(

Stinger, please, please take it easy. You know they have emergency rooms for a reason.

Chery's memory will always live on. <3

Actually I';ll just post it here, I'll give you the answer I think it is, and you can tell me if it's right or not...

Which of the following biochemical pathways does NOT require oxygen?

    Glycosis
    Matrix Reactions
    Electron Transport system
    Fermintation
    Glycosis and fermintation

I think it is Electron Transport system...

Okay, that is beyond my reach, but the one I'm 100% sure is:
    Fermentation does not require oxygen.

Or can there be multiple answers? If so, I think I'll be able to answer all with some research

As far as I know, it's only one answer. Why fermentation? Fermentation does not necessarily have to be carried out in an anaerobic environment. For example, even in the presence of abundant oxygen, yeast cells greatly prefer fermentation to oxidative phosphorylation, as long as sugars are readily available for consumption.

But I do think you are right about the answer not being Electron Transport system, only because respiration is where electrons are donated to an exogenous electron acceptor, such as oxygen, via an electron transport chain.

Oi I am NEVER going to get the hang of this. :(

I thought you had some math too? For this field, I'm more confident I can answer :)

Anyway, there is no rush for me.

We call it hump day. Hee hee Sounds dirty.

What's new unky? Did you help bella with her biology problem? Way above my head. But I am sure if I were learning it then it wouldn't sound so strange.

Oops, right, I always seem to confuse bump and hump :o

Well, I did what I can and Bella was happy. :)

I'm sure if I did my A levels in Biology, I'd have no problem answering her question, since there are processes I never heard about. I did some research and it turned out well.

Other than that, I'm trying my hand at some pixel art, it's working with the little tiny squares that make up everything on the screen at a small scale and zoom out to get a good quality image.

Bored to death actually... Slow day at the office. Have a lingering case of Bronchitis from the wicked nasty cold I got a few weeks ago so the coughing fits isn't helping at all.

Anyone see the video on last nights national news ( if you were in the USA) with the ice covered Hill in Pittsburgh, and all the vehicles that slid down it that was caught with a camera? I'll bet that was in mount washigton on the southside.
