    How to test heating coils
We have a lennox elite series AC unit with the heat expantion unit. This unit is eletric. My problem is the heat is not working (cold air blows). After repalcing the sequencer and testing the heat element for continuity I am stumped. The thermal fuse seems to be fine as well. Could the element show continuity and still be bad.

I would check the applied voltage coming to the unit. If its electric, it had to have 240 volts coming to it or 110v. Read to see which line of voltage it requires to run on and check to see it that line of voltage is applied, if not I would start at the circuit panal to make sure the breakers are not tripped.

We just replaced the heating element in our Kenmore dryer because it wasn't getting hot. But now the coils won't turn off, unless we completely unplug it from the wall. We have no clue what it could be.
