    Question on a medications name
My doctor has written a prescription for my pain in my back and the pharnacist cannot read the name. My doctor told me it was an anti inflamatory medication. The prescription looks like Incodin but she cannot find it. Is there anything you can do to help me find this medication. My doctor is not in the office and I want to get this prescription tonight if possible.

I'm sorry, but we cannot do anything of the sort. We cannot see the perscription so it is strictly speculation on our part, and that could be dangerous.

It could be Vincodin.. It's a tablet containing a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is in a group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers.

Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of hydrocodone.

Vicodin is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.

Hope this can be of some help.

Even if we all agreed what it was, your pharmacy could not fill it, unless they knew what it said, our guess, or even your guess I not enough. Does your doctor or his office not have a after hours contact.

No it is not vicodin. I have a morphine pump inside me and I cannot take vicodin. It is now morning and a sleeping pill helped somewhat through the night. I am sure the pharmacist will find out today. Thanks so much for your help.
