    Chase Bank Suit
    Got a notice yesterday that I am being sued in Texas for 1400.00 credit card debt. I must appear in court within next ten days. Do I need to get an attorny. I know I owe it but don't have the money to pay all up front. What is the most the court can do to me

    What's the worst they can do? Make you pay that plus court costs... and garnish your wages to get it.

    Hello s:

    They can get a judgment with which they can seize your bank accounts and garnish your wages. If you have SOME cash, and can negotiate a settlement, it would be CHEAPER to do so.
