    Squealing Shower Head
    I just moved into a new condo and my shower squeals very loudly when I turn the handle towards "Hot". The shower is one whre you pull out the handle for water and then turn it right for "colder" or more left for "hotter". If there is any heat to the water this shower squeals! Please help :-)

    Shut the water off and pull the valve apart. You have a piece of trash in the hot water inlet side of the cartridge. Check and clean the inlet ports. Now turn the hot water back on to flush out the hot water supply. Reassemble and test. Good luck, Tom

    How do I shut the water off and pull the vavle apart? How do I clean the inlet ports?

    For that I'll need the make and model number of your valve. If you pull the handle and face plate there should be screwdriver stops on the valve body where the supplies connect. If not then shut the water off at the unit shut off. Cheers, Tom
