    V. Carre'
I have a pic of an old church steeple along a dock front with sail boats and people walking along. It is signed in the lower right corner V. Carre'. The Left corner is written 13 - Veere in pencil. On the back paper of the frame is # 401. Do you have info on this?
    Thank you.

I would be inclined to look on the Web, under artist's name. I have located most artists by using my Search Engine. A complete profile is available on most artists, even obscure ones.

"Carre is famous for his etchings depicting scenes in France, Holland and Belgium. His wanderlust keeps him travelling in all corners of these countries in search of beautiful spots to serve as subjects for his fine etchings. It is evident the he loves his art. This etching was made and signed by Carre in his studio near Paris"
This is attached to the back of one of my etchings by V.Carre as well as a seal that reads "Genuine Etching
Paris Etching Society. I have no other info or any idea of price.

Info please on etching by V. Carre' [ 2 Answers ]

Just acquired a colored etching signed in pencil by V.(I think) Carre', which I am guessing is from the 30's or earlier. It is of a village scene with a windmill in the background, and in pencil just below left side is written, I believe, "Ryssord". On the back of the original frame is a sticker...

Recently purchased a colored etching signed by V. Carre on the right in pencil and lower left corner says 'Varmes." This looks like an old street scene, very narrow street with old looking buildings. The size is about 6 x 9 unframed. Have read other responses. Does anyone know anything about...
