Is it bad to fall in love at an early age by an older guy?
I'm 17 and I've been in a relationship for 2 years with a guy that's 5 years older than me. Is there anything wrong with that?

When you were 15 and he was 20, I see a lot wrong with it,

And I am surprised your parents were OK with it.

Maybe, depending on where you are. In my opinion 17 is too young to fall in love, so is 22:eek: Both of you have no idea who your own person is yet.
Let me re-phrase that... you can fall in love at any age:D and it's a wonderful thing, what I think I meant is that at 17 and 22 it's really hard to tell if it is 'Love' or 'Lust'

Some states 17 is too young to express your love or 22 is too old to express their love for a 17 year old.

I personaly don't see a problem with it.. I was dating my ex wife and there was 5 years between us.. she was 13 when we first started dating.. Got married on her 18 birthday and spent 10 years in total together.

Everything was good till she had an affair and we got divorced.
My advice would be make sure your happy with the thought of spending the rest of your life with one person. My ex was a virgin before we met so that was a down fall.. Think the fact she never slept with another guy in her life was an error in our relationship..

If your happy with this person and you both care/love each other then age doesn't matter x

13 and a five year difference, that is where I call the 18 year old a pediphile and stick to that opinion. A adult has no reason to be interested in a child.

I would normaly agree with you on that one.. How ever I can't cause there was a age difference like that when me and my ex dated. We stayed with each other for 10 years and got married. So it can work...

Both of y'all have way different opinions one talks from experience and I believe you would have a different perspective if you had gone through this situation or similar stuation. But hey I'm 17?

It would be wrong in my house, so what do your parents think? That's what I go with, what ever they say.

Well, I understand the other answers, but not everybody has the same destiny. Some have good luck in finding love and some have bad. You never know what type of luck you got unless you take a chance. No one knows how your relationship is so they can't tell you if it's wrong or right. Only you can see that, I mean two years is pretty good to know if he's serious or not. You should be able to tell by his actions, if you see nothing but actions you dislike then most likely you're not happy, but, if you see actions you like from him then you don't know what you want. It's most likely that you are scared of getting hurt. Just by posting this question shows that you doubt or want to avoid getting hurt or ending up not happy.
The question is are you sure you want to be with an older guy? Are you happy with an older guy? Or is it that people get to you with critics that make you feel like you're doing wrong by dating an older guy? Ppl say guys don't mature fully until they're 25 so the 20 year ol guy dating a 15 year old is understandable to me.

In my opinion age is only a number.

    Hope this helps
