    Kenmore Washer - Spin Cycle
    Hello All,

I did find other matches to this question, but the circumstances weren't exactly the same, and they were old entries, so I'm starting another one.

I have a Kenmore washer, I'm not really sure how old it is, 7 yrs (maybe), and the spin cycle is not running, the clothes are soaked when it finishes

I have tried varying the sizes and it doesn't seem to make a difference. A small load won't spin, where a big one will, and then vice versa.

I can set the cycle to the spin setting and it does spin. There is not, nor have I ever smelt, a burning smell.

I cannot afford a new washer at the moment, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jim

RE: kenmore 70 series model 110.20712990 Type 111 top load washer. Won't spin. Humming noise and a little burning/hot smell when supposed to be spinning. Bypassing the lid switch did not correct the problem. Changed out the motor coupling with no luck... still a humming noise but no smell.
