Tested with ohm meter when not hot limits should be closed, if all limits test good A faulty control board may be at fault.(good limit should have a reading on meter) A open limit will have no reading on meter. To locate limits turn power off and gas To your furnace ,remove upper and lower panels on the lower panel there should Be drawings of all componets and wiring symbols also look for limits on the drawings this will help you locate the limits for testing, also make sure filters are clean if limits test good and filters are clean ,control board may be at fault. |

Hello, I have a York (forced air) gas furnace that's 9 years old. Every winter it seems like I have to replace the pressure switch ( round switch with 2 connections & air hose). I hear the blower come on, burners ignite and then within a few seconds they go off with the red light flashing 6 times....
My XV90 upflow furnace gives a 9 red flash code when it starts up. My installers guide says it is an "Open Inducer Limit switcch". The furnace works OK, should I be worried about this?
