Can an ex son in-law claim part of house he never owned
Property is in nh. I have always owned it and the mortgage. His soon to be ex-wife was on the deed for a while but signed off almost a year ago. They have rented from me for several years. Haven't paid rent in a year or more

If their name isn't on the deed right now... then they have no claim to it at all.

If they haven't paid the rent they are taking advantage of you... have them served with a 3 day pay or quit... which gives them three days to pay all the money owed... then File to have them evicted, usually 30 days.

Family or not... nobody has the right to freeload at someone else's expense.

They are adults... and have adult responsibilities.

I would get them out before they pull something that ends up causing a lien on the property.
