ETG: Last drink roughly 160 hours ago (please help! )
I had 4 drinks 12/22, 4 drinks 12/23, 4 drinks 12/25, 6 drinks 12/26, 6 drinks 12/27, and 12 drinks 12/28 and my last drink was around 3AM on 12/29. I am a 23 yr old 6' 4'' 205 lb male. I took my test EtG at 7PM on 1/4. So my last drink was around 160 hours ago. I have walked approximately 20 miles from my last drink until I took my EtG test to keep my metabolism up. Is there any chance of me failing this test? Thanks and any help Dr. Bill would be great!!

EtG is eliminated at a constant rate, therefore is not believed to be cumulative. Past drinking episodes should have no influence on an EtG urine analysis although it probably would on a hair test. On an individual basis there is no way of predicting EtG production or elimination. It is known that the primary factor is elapsed time since consumption.

The longest period I have found is 133 hours. This involved a highly intoxicated (.31 BAC) chronic alcoholic in detox. In addition he suffered from liver and kidney disease that impaired metabolism. The detection window for EtG is usually much shorter.

Regardless of the cutoff used there should be no remaining EtG in your system from any of the drinking sessions you outlined.

Keep up the walking though... it's good for you and keeps you busy.

It'll be around 112 hours since my last drink before I take my EtG test, will I pass? [ 4 Answers ]

Sorry, I am paranoid... I know I'm not suppose to drink but I couldn't help it. Last Saturday, had around 7 shots... and 3 mix drinks... and stopped on Sunday around 2am... I have a EtG test on Thursday (tomorrow) at 6pm. I know EtG only detects 80 hours... but I just need some reassurance from you...
