    Step father Adobtion
My fiancé and I are looking into how he can adopt my 4 yr old son. There is no father on the BS because his father is not known. Without going into detail I was not aware of what had happened at the time and decided to keep him. So there is no way to find the biological father and have him give rights up. We are not getting a straight answer and keep getting told we will get a call back. So just wondering if any of you know if its possible I live in Topeka Kansas.

Thus you have no legal grounds for stepparent adoption. You have to go through independent adoption. or get married and be married at least one year.
