Then he wasn't alone! Why are you asking the question? What's really going on?

If you left him in the care of your mother you didn't leave him alone.

2 months? Ouch. That's a long time to leave your child.

But I agree with everyone else. If he was with your mom he wasn't alone, so what's the issue?

You know if you explained the whole situation in the first place you would get much better answers. Bottom line though, if you can prove you left him in the care of your mother and that you have been continuously in touch with him, you should be fine. But to help you it would help to know the full story.

Well duh! Look, if you don't want to tell us your story, you don't have to. But I don't think we can help any further without knowing more.

Please don't use the Comments feature for followups. I think I was pretty clear. We want to know what is really going on. Who is making these accusations, why are they making them and who are them making them to. If its just someone telling you they are going to report you, then ignore them since your mother will testify that you left the child in her care. But I don't know what you really need help with.

My question would be whether the allegation is he was left alone OR left without adequate supervision. Two different things. Also matters if "you" have Court-ordered custody and handed your son off to your mother instead of letting him reside with his non-custodial parent for a period.

Agree - need more info but those are just two options.
