    Can a dad file child abandoment charges against the mother?
    A mother left the kids with the father for 9 days but she talked to the kids on the phone.She is wanting to get her kids and he says no that he is filing abandoment charges against her.Can he do this?

    Not talking to the children for 9 days does not constitute abandonment - not in the slightest.

    Is there something more to this story? Does the father have primary physical custody or does the mother?
