Guinea pig shows on and off symptoms of URI
OK so I got a guinea pig about a week and a half ago
And about 3 days in. He had a lazy red eye the next day he work up with that eye completely shut. So I flushed it with soulution a couple of times it cleared up in about 2 days I also changed the bedding from pine shavings to freshcare I think. Now he keeps sneezing and I'm scared I don't know what to do. He sneezes really loud about as loud a new born

I would buy different shavings, or go to newspaper. It sounds like he's having a reaction to the wood shavings. Many of them are treated, and can cause respiratory problems.

What is freshcare made of? If you could list the ingredients, and all other info, I'd have a better idea of whether it's safe.

Sadly pet stores sell products that aren't always safe for the animals they're intended for.

For now switch to newspaper. It's not dangerous, even if they eat it. Rip some of it up, and leave some of it whole so that he can rip it up himself. If he's still sneezing after introducing just newspaper, than it's time for a vet.

I think as a start you should give it hay or maybe you should go to the store that you got it from and maybe ask why it is sneezing

    Why hay?

Also, why the pet store? I've never met a pet store employee that knew anything about the animals they sell.

If anything, I'd go to the vet. I'd never even consider the pet store.
