    Searching for old movies -- around 70s
    Man ha controlling wife. After she dies he stays in bed for months. His dog go for groceries et al.

    Does anyone know the name and how to find/view it?

    I actually had a vague memory of it. But that didn't help me. I just managed to configure a Google inquiry that led me in the right direction.

    Heh. I just tried to reconstruct my set of search terms, and failed miserably. I believe I used "movie", "wife", "dies", "dog", and "stays in bed", and had to filter out hits for the TV series Monk. Since I remembered this was a foreign movie, once I had my search terms tightened up and I saw a result pertaining to a late French actor, I was able to zero in.
