    Car, no title, no more dealer
    I bought my used car from a buy here pay here dealership. I paid the amount and before I was able to get the title, the dealer closed down. I have tried calling all the numbers I had for them but all are disconnected. How do I get the title, if I can even get it at all?

    I would take all of my documentation to the local State DMV and apply for a new title.

    Most dealers have to be bonded and insured. If the DMV can't help you get clear title, get the dealer's bonding company and insurance information from the DMV or licensing bureau and file a claim against them.

    First I wish you good luck, and if they closed, someone, some body has the title, the owner of the dealership, the person who bought them, or a bankrutpcy court if they went bankrupt

    I sadly had a similar thing, some years ago. And never did get or find the title, finally had to just let get towed off as junk after some years.

    The DMV can tellyou who the listed current owner is, and their address, and you will have to try and get them to sign the title to you, or if not, to sue them for the value
