    Child support?
If child support was ordered for 8 months, till the child is 18, can it be paid to the attorney general in a lump sum of 2400 dollars instead of 300 a month? This is for Texas.

The only way is if they are willing to create an impound account for the monies. Courts don't like dealing with lump sums. But it is possible in some jurisdictions. If it goes to impound then it is still doled out at the rate it was suppose to.

Next if the attorney general has the process and the order stays to pay them. Normally it is paid either though the court where the court order was issued, or directly to the person by check or money order.
