question about my belly button piercing:(
About 7 weeks ago I went and had my belly button pierced, actually re-pierced. I had it pierced twice before and had to take both of because of surgeries. About 4 days ago I noticed a red bump forming around the top hole of my piercing. I had never had anything like that happen with the other two piercings. When I had it done the lady went a little deeper than normal to make sure she didn't have to go through any scar tissue from the previous piercings. I listened to the piercer and cleaned it everyday, 8-10x a day. It got infected, slightly, once but cleaning it really good and it went away. Now I have this bump. It hurts a bit and my belly button is very sensitive. 3 days ago I started cleaning my piercing with hot salt water(table salt because it was all I had), and taking the piercing out and cleaning that with peroxide to dis-infect it. Then I put the piercing back in and cleaned it again really good with saline solution. Will this help? What else should I do? I don't want to have to take it out if permanently if I don't have to since this is the 3rd time I've had it done:(

You are ridiculously overcleaning and irritating your piercing. Stop. Saline soaks no more than 2-3 times a day. Leave the jewelry IN. Stop using table salt, it has preservatives in it that can also irritate your piercing. Keep peroxide as far away from your piercing as possible. Antibacterial soap works just fine for the jewelry and your piercing but it too will over dry your skin if you do it too much. Leave it alone, the less touching, moving and cleaning you do, the more likely your body is to just accept it as jewelry and heal nicely.
