Hi, I'm a fifteen year old girl. I've never had sex, and I just started my period in may. About three months ago, I was on my period and it was complteley normal. I started using tampons and after two days of it, the inside of my vagine started to get sore. I took it out for a coupld days, and it began to grow worse. It feels like there is something up there. When I sit or lay down it hurts, and when I sit in a certain position and push, I can feel something moving. It sort of feels like there is some sort of bubble in there. I've reached up there to see if there was anything but I couldn't feel anything. The last two periods I'va had have been extremely light. Just brown discharge, all I've had to use was a panty liner. It still hurts at times too. I went to see a doctor about it and she said that it was probably just a swollen bladder and gave me some medicine for it. It hasn't gotten better and it's not even in the hole I urinate out of, its inside my vagina. I don't know what else to do. Do you have any idea of what it could be? Or what to do? When you went to the doctor did she do a pelvic exam?

We can only guess, but it sounds like you may have left a tampon in. It's happened. A friend of mine once left in a tampon, ended up shoving it further in (to the point that she couldn't feel it externally). She had a few off periods (like you described) and after 3 months she went to her OB.

He had to remove the tampon with a tool, couldn't get it out by hand.

If your doctor didn't do a pelvic exam I'd ask her to.
