    Leaking shower
Shower appears to be leaking as water drips down through the ceiling below. This is a bathtub/shower combo, there is no water problem when the tub is used, only the shower. I have caulked every inch of the surround and where the tub meets the tile floor outside of the tub. I am wondering if I need to open the wall to see if the actual pipes to the shower head are leaking but would like to try all possible alternatives before doing so

    Hi Pbcho...

If this is a single handle tub/shower valve how about removing the trim plate to see if you can see anything behind the wall? Use a flashlight and run the shower... see what you find behind the wall.

If this is a two/three handle tub/shower valve I would still recommend removing the handles/trim and run water to shower... see if you see anything at the valve diverter.

Let me know what you think...

I recently installed a new Moen model 82402. When I turn the water on it comes out of both the spout and the shower head. I contacted Moen in regards to this and they thought it might have been the gate so they sent a new spout. This did not fix the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?
