    Windows XP and 7
I am so tired of windows 7 (which is on both my computers) that I would give my eye teeth for the XP operating system. Is there any way to install this on my computers and throw the junk (windows 7) out in the trash?

Yeah... buy a copy and install it from scratch (I would delete the partition and rebuild from that point). Assuming your hardware isn't so new that XP drivers don't exist for them. It might be getting harder to find but there are sources. Or you can go the hacked route that could always be shut down on the next update of you want to live dangerously.

Personally while I HATED Vista with a passion... I quite like Windows 7 64 bit... which I use... I'll agree XP Pro was a good and stable system (not perfect but good). I still use it on some machines.

Personally I love XP Pro. I have it on all of my PC's except my Netbook and my IdeaPad (both have 7 starter)

What is so wrong with Windows 7?

I was meaning the illegal software that is prehacked with unknown key acquired from questionable sources... that Microsoft eventually shuts down during periodic software updates. Leaving you without a working computer one day.

I have legitimate license keys for my XP Pro stuff... and a couple spares for future needs. I.E. The holographic license key info issued by Microsoft proving origin. Not copies.

I am a fan of Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Even though I have suffered from the Black screen of death once... (unknown cause) I still like it. Downside is there still isn't a version of Flash that will run on it... but there is one in alpha development. Wreaks havoc with certain websites as a result.

Just to be clear... I do NOT recommend or condone the illegal stuff... most of it has malware placed in it so others can have a back door into your machine. And you would never know until its too late.

Other reasons NOT to use those... do you ever buy anything or go anyplace online that needs a password? Or have bought anything online? Do online Banking? Well you effectively let them look over your shoulder if you do.

You think people do this out of the goodness in their heart?. yeah, right. And pigs fly.

Wait... pigs don't fly? I could have sworn I saw one...

smoothy is correct. Pirated software is not condoned on this sight and for good reason. It's Illegal. If you want XP buy it. That is your best option. Do a clean install, delete and reformat your hard drive and there you go!

p.s. I would still be hesitant because downgrading from 7 to XP can have adverse affects on system components!
