Hot water taking long to heat up in shower

About 2 months ago, the hot water in the master shower started to take a long time to heat up in the morning- about 2 minutes. The shower in the hall still takes only a short time like always. Do you have any suggestions as to why this is happening. We do not have a hot water recirculation system.

I am putting ceramic tile on my bathroom floor and bought 1/4 inch backerboard. I didn't put thinset underneath the backerboard between the tongue and groove sub floor.
