    20 amp line
Hey guys, well have another question. I hooked up a 20 amp line for my fridge and ran my stove to it as well. The stove only uses power for the clock. Well it was working fine until earlier today. I noticed the fridge light flickering very dim. So I shut off power at breaker. When I turned back on nothing had power. When I disconnect the fridge, the line has power. I purchased a line tester. So I plug the line tester in same outlet. It reads line is okay but when I connect the fridge the tester reads open hot. Can anyone tell me what went wrong and how can I repair this?

There may be a loose or poor connection, most likely behind one of the receptacles in the circuit.

Umm, I would like to up date. Tk, as always you were right. Loose connection. So I pig tailed the wires to the screws this time instead of pushing them threw the back. Thanks again. Learn something new everyday here. All most like being in school all over again... lol

Personally, I never trust those push-in connections on duplex outlets. For a few extra minutes I think it's better to use the screws and make a secure connection.
