    Condenser fan starts but comes to a standstill after a minute and buzzes.
    When this happens the heat pump quits blowing warm air. Is it the starter for this fan? It's a five ton Goodman heat pump.

    I would start by checking the capacitor. If cap is good, and condenser coils are clean, then its most likely time for a new motor.
