What should you do ? Find a vet that will treat your dog immediately, or find the money immediately to take her to her own vet. If you give her anything, it will only make her gag worse. Do you want to watch your pet die slowly choking?

ERROR: You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to tickle again.
I fully agree with Tickle. I will add that not only is she choking, the bone could be puncturing her throat. Unfortunately, the only person who can safely help her is a vet.

Comment on Cat1864's post
It was over 4 days ago and she has eaten and has been drinking water so no I do not want my dog to die a slow death, I should have asked the question in more detail but thanks anyway the vet said if she is eating and drinking just watch her closely

Did you tell the vet that the bone is still in her throat like you told us?
My concern is from your title saying 'and its in her throat'. Now you are telling us she ate it four days ago. I am hoping that if it was days ago that she did swallow it and has passed it. IF you truly think it is still in her throat, then I would be concerned.

Netty, you posted this today, and when we questioned why she's not at a vet, you posted that she's fine.
Which is it?
Either the bone is lodged in her throat, or she's fine.
If she's fine, like you claim, than why did you post?

Help! My dog just swallowed a pork bone, what should I do?
[ 3 Answers ]
So my sheltie just swallowed a pork rib bone about as big as my middle finger and less than one inch long. He's around 25 pounds and is 3 years old. I'm not sure what to do since its very late at night and I'm about to go to sleep so I can't stay up to keep an eye on him. He seems to be acting fine...
Dog swallowed pork bone

My 2 lab/beagle (who is probably part goat as he eats anything that he can get his paws on) swallowed a cooked pork bone. I am giving him a lot of water as well as the cotton ball treatment, but I am wondering if I should give him anything to soften his stool or accelerate the pooping?

My yellow lab, 95 lbs, swallowed a pork rib bone - she has swallowed a small bone in the past and her stomach acids took care of it cause nothing bad happened.
Its about 4 inches long and 1/2 an inch wide. What should I do>
Feed her bread?
