This puts a new spin on things, sounds like we are not dealing with a clogged inlet. How about the sinks in these two bath rooms, both get good hot water?

Both sinks in bathroom. Every sink dishwasher laundry has hot water but the two bath tubs don't have hot water but water will come out the hot sides?

It would be rare for both hot inlets to clog and no other faucet to clog too but it is my starting point. Close down the supply to the tub faucet, likely your main. Remove the hot knob and pull the stem or the cartridge. Cover the hole and have someone else open and close the main quickly, did you get a good force of water?

    Hi Hylift...

Try what Bob has recommended as it is the most logical place to start.

Meanwhile, let me know how many single handle faucets you have in the house. Let me know what kind of washing machine valve you have (a separate hot and cold line or a single control washing machine valve) or perhaps you have hot and cold water hooked to an outside faucet?

Here, I am looking for CROSS CONNECTIONS where a mixing valve/cartridge may have failed and is allowing cold water to cross over into the hot water supply showing up only at two handle faucets, OK?

Also, when did this start happening... I mean is this an old issue or a new issue? Any plumbing work been done in the house lately?

    Please answer all questions, OK?

    Back to you...

    Hylift,

Here is a test to try...

Shut the hot water shutoff under the kitchen sink to the kitchen sink faucet off and then try to run hot water from these shower valves. Then, give the hot water time to get to each valve... say run water at full open hot water for two minutes for each shower valve and see if hot water arrives. If it does then the kitchen faucet mixing cartridge has gone bad and will need to be replaced.

If that fails to fix it then you need to disassemble the valves as Bob suggested and clean the inner guts and purge the lines and see if that restores hot water.

Keep us posted on the results, OK?
