    HI DQ...

Are all fixtures lacking water upstairs or are some fixtures getting water and not others, such as faucets?

    Let me know, OK?

Open the faucets and turn the heat up high for upstairs and then take a hair dryer (or paint stripper gun and go downstairs in the basement (?) and find where the pipes go vertical and heat the space up with the dryer.

Heat the space to begin with and then start to heat each pipe individually. Copper or metal pipes conduct heat really well so just be patient and the pipes should thaw.

Be careful when the pipes thaw as one or more could actually have frozen and burst which you won't know until the pipes thaw so be sure you know where the main water shutoff is... just in case... ;)

Do NOT forget to open the faucets so unfrozen water can leave the pipe or the water could just refreeze and you won't fix this.

Finally, you may have to work this from upstairs, too, but remember copper pipes conduct heat so by working from bothe ends (up and downstairs) you probably have a better chance of thawing the pipes.

Start with this and let me know how you make out, OK?
