I got put on probation for 3 years for driving charges and I got a driving revoked probation violation I have 5 years over my head how long on average should I sit in jail

There will be a lot of factors that determine how much time you serve. Im reading this as how long you will get for the VOP which technically should be what's left of the probation period (assuming you mean probation and not a suspended sentence).

However, there are many factors (some within your control and some that are not) your record, work history, drug use, family ties, number of defaults on your record, etc...

Those factors outside your control, the judge's inclination, the Probation Officers recommendation, the crowd situation in the system you will be sent to... etc...

Hope that helps, talk to your lawyer and P.O and see if you can "explain" to the PO what happened in some light that makes you look good or at least not bad... OR... fight the VOP if you think you can win, then the probable cause for the VOP "should" go away and you should be back where you were pre-violation.
