    Why is my period lasting so long..
    Why is my period lasting so long... i am 19.. my period usually lats five days, its going on eight.. and its still heavy.. what should i do?

    Some periods can be off now and then... lasting shorter or longer than the norm. If it doesn't start to taper off after several more days, you could see your doctor for an exam.

    There are some benign causes for irregular bleeding. Are you on any hormonal birth control? Have you recently ended any birth control?
