Will my company fire me if They don't see I'm capable of the job?
The company where I'm at.. I temp for them but soon they planeed to hire me. Thing is I suddenly got a bad injury in my chest. The job I'm doing now requires some lifting like lifting boxes full of documents, and looking for stuff in boxes etc

Since I got this injury, I told them SOrry I can't do lifting etc. Please excuse me from that. They said "oh ok" but if the job requires lifting and you can't lift.. then they might want to get strong guy to replace me.

Well I don't know how it works but can a company fire someone like me cause I can't do the job anymore(I could before).. and the job they want to give me when they hire me is actually not the lifting job, it's a different one whre I don't lift. However, if they see me as weak, wouldn't they rather look for someone else?

You're talking yourself out of this job. Have you seen a counselor or job coach about this situation?

Well I'm saying cause they require you to move boxes and lift. And I can't do that anymore. And I'm just a temp so they could just decide to hire some healthy person instead of me.

No I haven't seen a counselor or job coach. But I'm in a lot of pain and I'm starting to be slow at work

If the job description lists requirements that you can no longer do, yes they can let you go. They can't change the description however. If you were already working there and suffered an injury, then they would be required to try and accommodate you with a comparable job.

If you received the injury on the job ( if it is an injury and not a medical problem, as discussed in one of the dozens of ( I have this illness posts you have made)

I will be honest it is hard to tell if you are really hurt, or have a mental issue that is making you feel pain to stop you from being able to do things. ** sorry not that the pain is not real either way, after reading your posts for a while, you seem to get every illness known to man and it stops you from doing anything in life, an excuse not to do anything.

Esp since you can't seem to find a reason for the pain,

But yes, if you can't do the job you were hired to do, they will not keep you most likely, and can let you go.

If they like your other work, and moving boxes is just a minor part of the job, then they may just get someone else to move the boxes.
