Why should we feel the need to Give presents instead of selfmade stuff?
Self made Cards, movies, songs, self made music. This is what I usually give but my parents still nag me about buying presents for my nephews etc .

I feel that the media makes us think that buying presents to give is a MUST. They make us think that making our own home made presents is not a good thing

    Well, you are incorrect.

We can give whatever we are able to -- bought or handmade. I made cookies for people this Christmas and, as a gift to someone, expertly hemmed two pairs of new pants. My younger son emailed me that he will be giving me several appetizers from my favorite Thai restaurant (he told me now so I can be prepared for a meal). In fact, we have no obligation to give ANYthing to anyone! If it's not from someone's heart, I don't want it.

Do You Give Stuff Away? [ 5 Answers ]

What do you do with your stuff when you are tired of it, have no use for it, etc? I hate to sell things. I really just don't want to be bothered. I usually take a load of stuff to Goodwill. Or, I ask people I know if they want any of the things I am unloaded.

Presents or not [ 3 Answers ]
