I am wanting to go back to school.
As I convicted felon I know that some fields will not hire felons. However, I would like to believe that some careers are felon friendly. Is there a list that gives felon friendly career choices? I don't want just a job. I want a career. I am tired of being told that I am not good enough. I know that I am a hard worker and very smart. Please help a girl out.

Both felons and employers have found common ground in animal care. Hundreds of scared starving lost dogs from Katrina were taken to prisons for care, and the prisoners felt meaning for the first time in their lives.
Not many people want to get up early to muck horse stalls or care for pit bulls. I realize that it doesn't have a career feel to it, but it could lead to school in veterinary medicine, or a zookeeper, or being a breeder without schooling.
I would think about what you would like to do instead of thinking of a list. I don't think there is a list anyway; it depends all the employer, if you don't need a license.

You will want to look into something that is not medical, law, insurance or real estate ( those are the ones I know have restrictions on felons, but I know there may be more.

Also having your own business, there is no problem getting hired.
