Is it wrong for a senior to be attracted to a freshman?
Hi, I'm a senior girl and recently my sister started attending the same high school that I go too. (she's a freshman.) through her, I got to know some of the freshmen this year, and I met this one who seems slightly more mature than the others. We became friends and it was obvious that he liked me, but I didn't think anything of it until now. He's actually a really good kid but I don't want to initiate anything because it's not cool for a senior to date a freshman, and my friends would probably make fun of me. Also, should I try and distance myself from him? I feel like if I hogged his attention I would sort of rob him of having a good year with the kids his age.

Also, we can really talk to each other like friends, but is there a way to strengthen our relationship even though we're not in the same grade? There's no real chance to bond besides the one class we have.

There is nothing really "wrong" but it is hard, because of your friends and of course the fact it matters to you what others think.

Next of course the odds of it actually lasting more than just this year is slim, since you will be off to work or college.

And in the future in 4 years when he is out of school and you are also, things may seem different then

Peer pressure in High School is so brutal, you have to ask yourself if it's worth it, even if it isn't wrong (unless you turn 18). I would keep it just friends. Just about any freshman is going to be impressed with attention from a senior, so I wouldn't worry about 'hogging' his time, although you may get some grief about it from others.

I am also in that boat. I really like this guy at my school and likewise to yours, he is mature, older looking, and very very intelligent. However, he is 14 and I am a senior. Prom is coming up. I want to ask him. Is it wrong??
