Yes, he is able to not renew your lease. But how it goes about not renewing it out and getting you out of the property depends on the local laws. You said he has been "harassing" you. How so? Has he verbally told you to get out? Or have you been given any sort of written notice? And what does your work program have to do with you moving? I'm not seeing the connection-is there more to this story?

First, please use the answer box to follow up, not the comment features. Also, text/chat speak is not allowed on this site. Please use complete words and sentences so we can understand your situation clearly. Your posts are very difficult to make sense of.

And our experts will be able to better help you if we know the state you are in so they know what the laws are.

I feel like there has to be more to this story then you're telling us. Why would your landlord be calling the cops because your two year old walks to a different room? Or come in and burn peppers when you're not there?

    Hello b:

In MOST states, when a lease ends, it reverts to a month to month agreement.. If he wants you out, or you want to leave, a minimum 30 day written notice is required. Certainly, NEITHER of you is required to sign or offer a new lease...

Talk to your case worker. If there was an agreement for 2 years, he may not be able to get you out.

Do you have carpeting? If not, offer to split the cost for carpeting or rugs to help reduce the noise made by your son.

First no chat talking, I have no idea of about 1/2 of what you are sayiing.

Also I don't understand what arrangement the landlord has. If you have a program that is paying him, he can still evict you unless the written agreement says he can not

If the case worker says you have to stay, there isn't much you can do unless they can arrange a new place. You need to try to either stay out of his way or make a special effort to mollify him.
