    How do I make 20 volume peroxide out of 10 volume and 40 volume?

    here you need to solve this equation:



    where x is between 0 and 1

    this will give x as the fraction of 1 whole volume of 10 volume peroxide.

    start by expanding the brackets, then it should be easy algebra.
