Flux smell still in house water one month after copper repipe
The landlord had the house repiped about a month ago with copper. The water smelled/tasted strongly of flux afterwards. The plumber said a couple of days would take care of it, washing out the Oatey water soluble flux. The smell/taste has reduced but is still definitely noticeable in the hot water, and I notice it in the cold, though another person isn't so sure. Tomorrow they are going to drain the hot water tank in case it is contaminated and not flushing out. Any other ideas? I've seen similar questions on this site, but are usually much shorter times after the work, and just decide to wait. Thanks for your help!
