You don't. The court does, and rarely is this done except to make way for step-parent adoption.

You want to give us some kind of background to work with? Who is forcing you to give up your child as you claim. What has happened ?

A restraining order isn't enough. What else is going on ?

First BULL S>>>> you may not be able to contact the mother if you were a jerk and broke some laws, and the mother of the child can take you to court if you were a threat and take away your rights or at least your ability to visit unless it is supervised.

But no, you will not and can not go to jail if you don't give up your rights, that is not legal or constitutional, you have rights if you were the worst criminal in the world, only you will have to pick up chilldren though a 3rd party or at a safe place like a police station.

Next sorry, you can't just give up your rights, and courts seldom will allow you to give them up.

So tell us the real story, or perhaps you don't even understand what is true and believe some lie the ex has told you

Thanks for the disagree, but with the LIMITED amount of info you provided I answered to the best of my ability.

If you want accurate responses, you have to give accurate info. We aren't mind readers.

First, may I call your attention to the guidelines for using the comments feature found here:

    https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/feedba...ure-24951.html

You were given accurate advice. A person CANNOT just give up their rights. There is no document that will do that. ONLY a court can terminate parental rights. And if there is a RO against you the only reason you can go to jail is by violating the RO. Either someone is giving you wrong info or you are misunderstanding something. So instead of telling an expert that they are wrong when you clearly don't know the facts, try explaining the actual situation so we can advise you properly.
