Movie for my wife
I'm trying to find a movie I saw, maybe from the 80's? A 20 something guy living with his dad on a farm/ranch has an affair with a New York (Attorney?), she goes back and he follows her to the city. He helps people in the ghettto while trying to find/win her. He fights with the local hoodlums, the neighborhood comes to his aid when a tree he planted gets ripped out of the ground. Anyone have a clue?

Trying to find a film I saw 10 years ago. About this cop who doesn't really pay attention to his wife... so she decides to have sex with plummer. The cop comes home and finds her having sex but he is actually turned on about it and then he sets up cameras in the room and allow his wife to sleep...
