    I am on an antibiotic for an infection but my throat is still swelled
    I have been on the antibiotic for 4 days and my throat is swelled. I know when I swallow it feels rough. I have an abscess tooth that I think is causing all my ear and throat problems. I have had this before but never with my throat feeling still way. I had went into the ER with ear pain so bad and the swelling in my throat they just look in my ear and looked in my mouth and didn't even look in my throat or nothing said well it's a dental problem here is some antibiotic and I need to see a dentist.

    Well did you see a dentist? You may need a completely different antibiotic to clear up the infection.
