I am not an expert by any means but the first thought that comes to my mind is big fiery crash (especially if it is the fault of the person I am trying to help) and me on the wrong end of the lawsuit.

Seriously? Think about it. They get in a hit and run accident... the car is in your name... Who's to blame?

    Ummm, YOU are!

All of the red light tickets from the cameras come to you.

If there is a serious wreck, you are also sued as owner

Plus if they want to put it in your name, normally it means something illegal is planned ( at least to me it sounds that way.

    Hello c:

Unless they pay you a LOT of money, there are NO pros to letting someone do that. There are only cons.

AND, to add... in many states, whoever has the vehicle registered in their name must have the insurance in their name as well.

What cocky remark? It's a fact that in many states whomever owns the vehicle must have the insurance in their name as well.
