My boyfriend never went to any of his probation meeting for the past 2 years. His PO never said or did anything until a few months ago. He was late to court and so now they're holding him until the 14th. He now has a home and stable job. What could be possible consequences imposed on him on the 14th at court?

My guess would be at least some jail or prison time. He will have several violations and not showing for probation, shows lack of respect of the system, failure to show up for court, says he would not most likely show up if given a chance. I would guess at a long time in jail,
But it is up to the judge

Get out his final disposition sentencing paperwork and read very carefully the wording that the judge had put in regarding what will happen should he violate his probation. That will give you a general "scenerio" of what the judge had in mind when your boyfriend was first sentenced. It's like a reminder to himself should this guy come before him again. I'll wager jail time if the jails are not too full in your area.

I don't have any of that I'm in college in NC and he is now awaiting trial in Maryland.He has a 6yr old daughter for which he has sole custody the mother left when the girl was six months. Will that be taken into consideration?

He was late because he had to get his 6yr old daughter (he has sole custody, mom walked out). Will his home situation be taken into consideration?

Actually his having custody may go against him, since he was not showing any responsibility by failure to go to PO meetings and missing court.

But normally the court will not even know about the custody issue. He may try to use it , but the court will just require him to either find someone to take guardianship of the child, or the child will go into foster care.

The court really cares less normally

What bothers me is he didn't attend any meetings for two years! I'm sorry I don't think anyone is going to be cutting him a deal. What was his excuse for 2 years? He can whine all he wants about his daughter but the Judge is not going to listen to him. He will have to make arrangements for his daughter as the Judge already gave him a chance with probation once and he didn't show any compliance in all that time. I've known people who have taken their kids into probation and left them outside in the waiting room while they met with their PO. Happens all the time although they are not happy about it he could have done this had he not had anyone to watch her. Who watches her while he goes to work?
