    1. Good liability insurance
    2. A police background check (so you can prove no prior convictions or felonies)
    3. A business plan
    4. A state tax filing license if you are going to charge tax (if businesses charge tax where you are).
    5. A contingency plan for dog bites

    To start, know your initial capital base. Know what product(s) to sell. Tell people about your merchandise. Push your goods.
