    A 41.0N force is applied to a 300kg crate to make it just move. Calculate the coefficient of static friction

    You can't give the exact coefficient of friction, but only an estimate since the crate nonetheless moves.

    The force due to friction is given by



    where R is the reaction force of the ground on the crate, F the force of friction and mu the coefficient of static friction.
