    Pa. Property tax
    I was deeded a piece of property about 5 years ago and never paid the tax on it as I just found out it belonged to me , can I get it back if it was sold for back taxes?? PLEASE HELP... [email protected]

    First you need to find out if it has been sold, Next if someone deeded you property how did you know know you owned it, since you have to be part of the process, and you would have to take the deed and record it.

    But anyway, go down to court house, you can go by the deed office and see who is the owner of the property, next or first you can go by the tax office and find out if there is tax due, who has been paying the tax and if the property was sold previously for taxes.

    I am not up on PA some states you get the deed at the sale, others allow right to redeem over a certain number of years 1 or 2 normally, so if it was sold on the second year, it is gone.
    Your only real thing to do is go to the court house.
