I don't know what it is, or why I have it, but I get really scared, like, I won't eat, and I will avoid my brother when he is sick , or feels sick, no has a cold, but vomiting. It started when my mum died, now I don't want to go to music festivals, or go on holiday, or evan visit my family, because I am worried my brother will throw up (he doesn't evan have travel sickness), and because we will be in a vehical, I will be trapped with him, I don't know if I am scared from him being sick, or of anything happening to my brother, but I get really protective over him, which is weird because he is older, and he isn't like this with me. I try to wrap my brother up with bubble wrap (metaphoricaly) I finally told my dad about this, and he doesn't know what to do, he just lightly supports me when it happens, sometimes my fears get so bad, I miss out on new years party's because I am scared he will be sick, I won't go away on holiday, anything, I am just getting fed up! And I just want to stop, but I don't know how, and we can afford a specialist or anything? Please help?

This reminds me of a girl client I once had. Her older brother often ended up in hospital with mental problems. She was scared and worried and wanted him well again. There were five people in her family -- Dad, Mom, her, and her two brothers. She decided that, as long as she counted to five or arranged five pencils on her desk or ate five cookies or bought five things when she went to the store (i.e. did things in fives), her family would stay alive and be safe and happy. If she didn't stick to her five rule, something bad would happen to her family.

Fixing this kind of thinking that you mention above is too big for you to deal with by yourself. Is there any chance your dad would set you up with a counselor, even for, maybe, three visits?

When me brother gets sick, its nothing serious, its just like a bad cold, (he has had a cold for 2 months now) or when he gets a bad headache or evan just feeling sick, when I see him eat too much or I think he is acting differantly I get parinoid

All the more reason for you to sit down with a counselor for a few visits. If your brother's problems aren't even "serious", yet you get "paranoid," you must talk this out with someone who will listen to you, or your mental gymnastics will get more complicated.

I would talk to a counselor but, I can't really ask my dad to help because he will hug me and stuff but he wouldn't try to stop me from feeling like this, he couldn't really care less about this, I worry because it makes me feel ill regulaly x

Second, WG took her time to try and help you and that's how you thank her? What is it you expect? Do you think we can come up with some magic solution? Click your heels 3 times and say 'there's no place like home'.

When someone has some irrational fear there are just two ways to deal with it. You can decide for yourself that its irrational and damaging to you and you can resolve on your own to conquer it. Or you can get professional help to deal with it.

If you can't afford therapist, talk to your guidance counselor at school, they may be able to help you arrange something. Or try your clergyperson.
