We ALL know, we're spending ourselves into oblivion. Where would you make cuts. I can only do 10 categories, so I'm sure I'm going to leave your most HATED federal program off the list. If I did, please let me know (as though you wouldn't anyway)...

I have to ask what you consider a cut? As far as the government goes they consider anything that didn't get a raise a cut. To me a cut is trimming off something and not just a freeze or holding of the line.

I'm not a politician. We have a bill we have to pay. I'm for PAYING it. You do that by raising revenue and cutting expenses. You STAY there by living within your means.

If I could choose only one, it would be education. Throwing more money at it won't help improve it. We have to start with preschool and do it (i.e. teach) right from there on up.

10-15 % cut across the board .I'd also stand with Wondergirl and abolish the Dept of Education.

I'd roll back the spending levels to 2006 when the Dems took over Congress . I'd also give the Laffer Curve another go of it.

Speaking about cutting the Education... just recently my community voted on whether to consolidate schools in their district and close down 3 elementary schools that only have less than 150 pupils in each school and busing them not even 20 miles to the consolidated elementary school. Well, after much wrangling the voters actually voted to keep the 3 elementary schools open! And not consolidate the schools. Talk about wasteful folks up here in Ohio keeping old schools open just to have them close at the drop of a hat due to "no heat". Just to heat those drafty monstrosities costs a fortune. And (god forbid) they would have to have more kiddies in one classroom and eliminiate a teacher or two. Stay tuned because in a few years they'll be back at it with more property tax increases to "fund" these same schools. Odd, but this same school district bought FIVE modular classrooms that just sit EMPTY and unused in some storage lot. Hmmmmm. Talk about let's waste more money in Education just so the Administrators can get heftier raises. I'm done beating my head on my keyboard over the dummies up here.
