    Landlord neglecting repairs
    I asked my landlord months ago to replace my water lines after he had a plumber come out and tell him it needed to be done. My water pressure is worse now. He refuses to do anything about it. What are my legal rights

    Hello debby:

    I don't know what state you're in, but ALL states require that the landlord provide a "habitable" residence... I don't know if low water pressure constitutes an inhabitable apartment or house. Is it so low that you're unable to bathe or cook?? That would make a difference.

    In any case, to avoid further problems, make all your communications with your landlord in writing.

    That all depends on exactly what your water pressure really is.

    If its deemed sufficient within the normal ranges ( as determined by plumbers in the trade and not personal preference) then there is nothing you can do.

    If it takes 20 minutes to fill a pot or water trickles out of the shower then maybe there is.

    The Landlord has to provide a safe, habitible residence. If your waterpic shower massage needs more pressure to work (and I HAVE lived places that was true)... thats not his problem if you have sufficient pressure for a normal shower. Depending on if you are on city or well, depending on where you are in in the system your pressure might be higher or lower.
