Road crews did some work a few weeks back and regular light sulfur smell is now really smelly. WOndering if there is anything I can do to get rid of smell it is traveling through whole house esp. since heat has kicked on for the season. I pour 1 cup of bleach 1 time per day down sump hole and have bee doing it 3 times a day lately and it is not helping.. help I don't want sulfur stink in my home for the holidays:-( Water level is also rising periodically in sump hole by around 2-3 inches called sity and they snaked above and below house on street said it was floe=wing fine in each direction. All problems started.. including water level raise after road crews were out poking around man holes a few weeks ago.

This is ground water in your sump, correct? And you think the city working out in the street is the cause?
About the only way this could happen is if the city left a opening in the sewer main and it leached into your basement.
Does your water have a high sulfur content in your area? Do your neighbors have the same problem? I'm trying to come up with a common cause. Regards, Tom
